Character Cards Sample

Appendix 6A Pack of character cards

The object of the game is to win all the cards. All the cards are dealt out face down to all the members of the group. The players take turns to place a card face up on a central pile. When someone places a card that matches the character already face up on the pile, the first person to notice the two matched cards calls out “Snap!” and wins the pile of cards.

Memory Game:
The object of the game is to collect the greatest number of pairs of characters. All the cards are spread out face down. The players take it in turns to turn up two cards. If the two cards form a pair, the player takes them. If the two cards do not form a pair the player turns both of them face down again, leaving them in exactly the same position.

The object of the game is to form the greatest number of couples: Niño/Niña; Papá/Mama; Tío/Tía; Abuelo/Abuela;Tendero/Tendera.

All the cards are shuffled and dealt. The dealer then asks any player if he/she holds a particular card (e.g. “Niño”, “Abuela”, etc.). If the dealer has been fortunate in his request and the player holds the card it must be handed over. The play passes to the next player who then proceeds to ask for a card from any of the others.
